Abstract:

Objective

To investigate the HCV genotype of patients with hepatitis C in a tertiary hospital in Harbin, and to provide theoretical basis for the prevention and treatment of regional HCV.

Methods

Serum samples were collected from 50 cases with anti-HCV positive, and HCV RNA was extracted for core fragment amplification and DNA sequencing. The genotype of the DNA sequence was performed by cladogram and then the genotype of HCV were obtained.

Results

The core fragment (+328 nt-+726 nt) of HCV was amplified in 42 cases among the 50 patients. There were 12 patients had genotype 1b (28.57%), 29 patients had genotype 2a (69.05%), 1 patient was 3a (2.38%).

Conclusion

The genotype of HCV 2a was the most common type in HCV patients in this hospital, followed by HCV 1b and occasionally HCV 3a.
