The comprehensive training and management in application of preventi and control of the infection of Ebola hemorrhagic fever in hospital

Abstract:

Objective

To explore the effect of comprehensive training and management in preventing and controlling the infection of Ebola hemorrhagic fever in hospital.

Methods

The medical team was training by the comprehensive training method, which included teaching professional theoretical knowledge before starting, and focused on the training process to wear PPE, exercised in simulated environment of friendly hospital, regulated the process of pass in and out the ward, while the semi-militarized management, disseminate foreign-related etiquette and customs were carried out.

Results

Through the comprehensive training and semi-military management in Sierra Leona, the hospital infection prevention and control measures had been implemented effectively, nobody was infected with Ebola or other infectious disease, finally achieved the target of victory in battle and non-infected.

Conclusion

The comprehensive training and management was important to the mission completion by the foreign medical team, and it had high value in dealing with public health emergency.
