Research progress on clinical application and mechanism of moxibustion in virus warts

Abstract:

Human papilloma virus (HPV) is a common dual-chain DNA virus in life. People are the only host. The target cells infected are skin and mucosal epithelial cells. Most HPV infection cause virus warts, and a small part can cause malignant tumors. According to the infection sites and clinical manifestations of virus warts, it can be divided into ordinary warts, plantar warts, flat warts, genital warts, etc. At present, the common treatment methods for virus warts include topical drugs, frozen, laser, photodynamic therapy, surgical resection, etc., but there are still problems such as high recurrence rate, large side effects and heavy economic burden. Moxibustion is one of the treatment methods of the traditional medicine, and there are more and more applications in the treatment of virus warts. This method is simple and easy, with high safety and efficiency, also has the advantages of low recurrence rate and few side effects. This review will expound the research progress on clinical application and mechanism of moxibustion in virus warts.
